Is it safe to use plant-derived skincare products?

There are so many skincare products on the market, it's hard to know what's safe! Researching the various ingredients, what's good for us, what's not good for us, and what the ingredients actually mean, can be complicated ... so we often buy what the advertising tells us is the BEST ... but does BEST mean it's good for our skin? Good for the environment? Good for the planet? Good for the people that make the products?
Traditionally, we're exposed to skincare products made from animals, such as cochineal beetles, tallow, honey, squalene, gelatin, and the list goes on … then there are the LETTERS on the ingredients list such as DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), and TEA (triethanolamine), DMDM HYDANTOIN & UREA (Imidazolidinyl) that have people confused about what they even are, and are used so commonly but can be so harmful!

On the flip side of animal-derived skincare products, are the plant-derived products that don't test on animals. BUT, how safe it is to use plant-derived products on your skin?

Compared to animal-based products, it's 100% safer to use products made from nature, with their huge range of benefits not just for our skin, but also for the planet.

Our Lemon Myrtle skincare products do not contain petrochemicals, animal fats or artificial, synthetic fragrances which can strip the skin's natural oils, they're not tested on animals, and they don't harm the environment!

We're not just making products that are GOOD for you, and GOOD for the planet, we're also supporting Australian growers and makers, and we pride ourselves on our Australian-made range that's expanding and evolving, and giving so much satisfaction to so many people.
